Our Story

My husband and I were married a little over two years ago. During the planning process my Mother suggested purchasing a bag to place my cards in while I was greeting guests. I had never heard of a card bag, but my Mother said that they were used often during the time they got married in 1970. When I started searching for card bags, I was unable to find many choices. Most of what I found were money bags, not built to hold the oversized cards we received. The process became daunting. I settled for a mass produced bag that broke after I placed just a few cards in the bag. Now I was greeting our guests with a sack of cards, very disappointing!

I decided I didn't want my friends to get married without having a place for their cards. The Althea Bag was just a thought on my wedding day and today is this beautiful business that will help my friends and people around the world find ease on their wedding day.

I feel honored to create a product that people around the world use on their special day. Each bag is hand-made with love because a wedding is the most loving day in a person's life.
